Singer-songwriter Jimmy Castor died
On Monday, in Henderson, Nevada at
The age of 71.

In addition to being able to play a
Number of instruments, most notably
The saxophone and bongos, Jimmy was
Quite comfortable performing in a
Varied array of musical styles including
Doo-Wop, Latin soul, and Funk.

His band the “Jimmy Castor Bunch” had
A huge unforeseen influence on Hip Hop
Culture when a sample of his song
“It’s Just Begun” was played during
A D.J. Battle scene in the 1983 movie
“Flashdance.”
